This blog network has uncovered the practice of Lee Enterprises "newspapers" in Montana being paid by local governments to make positive spin, and support agenda, and unethical officers.

Sitting in a county meeting witnessing this firsthand: officials asked if it were "OK" to talk about stories TO BE PRINTED in the next days edition of a Lee Enterprise newspaper. Three of five articles in the Ravalli Republic Newspaper the next day were "discussed" in a county government meeting.

This racket goes further. Online, the newspaper uses its hits from the public to protect unethical officials in Montana. Here is an example of just 4 in Montana:

“DOUBLE TAGGING” allows an article to come up higher, or seen by the public on a search page. This is cyber protection by Lee Enterprises.

Lee Enterprises is defrauding the public using its Internet resources.

Lee Enterprises is "on call" to write stories about Montana officials to make space online for positive spin on corrupt Montana officials. Since print newspapers can't make ends meet via legitimate (or refuse to work that hard) journalistic means, getting paid to protect corrupt officials in Montana is how Lee Enterprises pays their staff.

Montana is ranked 48th in the nation for justice, and Lee Enterprises tactics here is disgusting, a misrepresentation, and a play on the good faith of the public.

More Montana Media Follies

Governor Brian Schweitzer demanded the resignation of Montana Dept. of Transportation (MDOT) Director Jim Lynch recently.  The controlled media wishes you to think it was due to Nepotism: Lynch's daughter was hired in 2008 by MDOT.

Brian Schweitzer was in office in 2008.

More likely the source is MDOT's sanction of a corrupt official in Hamilton, Montana named Dennis Stranger who put together a "transportation plan" for our 4300 residents of the unincorporated "city" of Hamilton, MT for the cost of $40,000.00 US when most streets in the village of Hamilton are not painted, nor even have traffic control devices (signs).

To paraphrase Director Lynch: he was not involved in the hiring process, his daughter is in a different department, and it is strange that four years have gone by before Schweitzer has said anything.

Here is the probable reason Lynch was axed from the MDOT directorship: Montana wants oil money for their oversized loads, AND someone at MDOT, probably Lynch decided it was ok to try and prop Dennis Stranger in Hamilton who has very questionable public expenditures, and legal exposure.
