Denver Chief Robert C. White

Robert C. White chosen to be the next Denver police chief

Robert C. White, the incoming Denver Police Chief said to the Denver post that the Occupy Denver Protesters cant be allowed to break laws.  What happens Mr. White when the peaceful assembly is above the laws of the State of Colorado?  When your constituents are not breaking any laws, who will uphold their rights?  When you raise you right hand to swear in as Denver's police chief, remember the constitutional oath is to protect the US Constitution, which includes peaceful assembly and free speech.

Mayor Michael B. Hancock decided on White, who is currently the Louisville Police Chief in Kentucky.

This blogpost is a reminder to BOTH public officials: you have (or will) take a Constitutional Oath to protect Denver residents.  When Occupy Denver is peacefully assembled, you have no choice but to defend that constitutional right.  There is no such thing as trespassing on public property, and you cannot deem peaceful assembly as unlawful assembly.  You must defend Occupy Denver and protect their right to assemble in Denver.  Period.

It is shameful that America needs this wake up call on its own Constitution.  The people are educating public officials like Michael B. Hancock Mayor, and Robert C. White Denver's incoming Police Chief.  You ability to be a public servant will be determined if FUNDAMENTAL rights of Denver Americans are upheld by you.  Good luck, and please defend Occupy Denver's right to assemble.
